When you start an app, the overview window (that you can literally do nothing with) appears momentarily.
Sailfish being generally so slow, I want to disable these things as much as possible. It is obvious when you start Clock app for example.
You mean overview/multitasking screen?
I don’t think you can do that - let alone that it will make your apps launch any faster.
Yes, that multi tasking screen momentarily appears that you can do nothing with. At least while the app is starting up. I’t’s really distracting, so I would like to disable it anyway. Should I make a feature request?
Please don’t make non-functional feature requests just to suit your personal preference. Remember that Jolla is like 20 people.
The loading indicator of an app is the cover and the spinner on it - and that sits on the multitasking view, like it or not. The multitasking view is also what is logically “behind the app”, so panning to it makes a lot of sense to establish what you should expect to see when you swipe the app away.

Just imagine for one second if everyone did that and what would happen.
It’s a good thing to make feature requests. It’s not like Jolla has to say, “I need to implement this immediately,” the moment they read it, right? That’s why it can be shared on the forum.
It was Jolla’s design choice from the beginning to not hide the apps loading behind splash screens like other OS’ do it, so I don’t see them changing it now after 13 years.
