From the Jolla shop site: Might be the reason, even though you still get Exchange and predictive text (probably because same available package are still compatible with your device).

I’m still using an Xperia X Compact with Sailfish OS also for playing media - great devices
It seems to be not a current problem, so I put a request on Jolla support. I keep in touch this post for feed back.
My actual main device is a sony Xperia Z5c on lineage OS and I test a long time Ubuntu-touch with the Xperia X. I am curious of solution to keep my old devices alive
I think the activated only means that you have a connected Jolla account with the device. My X Compact is listed as well, but I never purchased a license for it.
You can see there devices you logged in to this account. You did not purchase a licence for a device but for an account and most likely the first activated device you can see was linked to the licence.
If you would get the old AAS working there, it would be like Android 4.4 - i can’t imagine that being usable.
Maybe look in to the Xperia X Compact community port with WayDroid - if the official Xperia X SFOS could be patched to work on the compact, presumably the reverse is possible.
