Hearing aid app

Il getting new hearing aid next month (no im only 41years) will that be a issue with the new phone ?

The brand is Phonak

Hope its not give eny issues

I’ve just tried setting up the myPhonak app (from Aurora store) on my C2.

The install is stuck in a loop where it asks to allow it to turn on Bluetooth - (which is turned on in Settings already). If I tap Allow, it says “Turning on Bluetooth” for 10s before returning to the “Pair hearing aids” screen.

I’ve tried installing the same app on a Samsung phone, and it works perfectly, so this is a C2 / Sailfish issue.

Anybody have any idea what’s causing this?

This is caused by the lack of BT support in Android in pre-5.1 SFOS versions.
If you feel lucky, you could update to the 5.1.0.8 preview version and then install BT for AAS from the Jolla store and see if that fixes things - or wait until 5.1 proper is released.

Found one issue. The Phonak BT device was not created So how to stream or use for ohone call!?The device was created when I just paired not using the myPhonak app and it worked for calls and music.

My new hearing aids are Phonak too really hope u can use them with the streming function too or can find a work around for it to get it working

I now managed to have my hearing aids paired in myPhonak and then I stopped AppSupport and paired again and the bt device was created. When I then started AppSupport again and opened up myPhonak, it could not connect to the paired devices. I disconnected th BT device, and tried again, but same result. I guess the hearing aids are registered twice.

That is the current status for me.

So two options, use for management or use as a headset .

I’m also in Batch 1, and I’m curious to see how my Resound One hearing aids perform.

Hi, just out of personal interest, are your hearing aids Auracast-compatible? If so, does it work with the current Bluetooth implementation?

If my phone where shipped i could test it but seems there is some issues with connection with Bluetooth
