GPS on C2 not reliable for a longer use

REPRODUCIBILITY: on every longer use
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.70 (and before)
HARDWARE: C2
UI LANGUAGE: German
REGRESSION: GPS looses track or completely looses satellite connection after a while of use (while being outside in a flat area)

DESCRIPTION

When using GPS with a navigation app (e.g. OSM Scout or Here maps) the connection gets bad after a while so that a wrong location is shown or the satellite connection is lost at all. Disabling GPS and enabling it again helps for a time, but the problems occur again, later.

PRECONDITIONS

GPS turned on and routing with a navigation app.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Enable GPS, use a navigation app to route to a destination, the longer the route, the more likely the problem occurs.

  1. Enable GPS

  2. Use a navigation app to route to a destination, the longer the route, the more likely the problem occurs.

  3. Disable/enable GPS again, start from point 2

EXPECTED RESULT

GPS keeps a valid location outside for the time being used.

ACTUAL RESULT

GPS does not keep a valid location after some time.

MODIFICATIONS

Chum and Storeman installed, no patches.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

A working navigation is mandatory for me. I am happy with OSM Scout as native navigation app (thanks @karry), but a working GPS is a must for that.
