gPodder feedback

There is no output sadly. I deinstalled the one downloaded from OpenRepos and installed via Jolla store but with the same result. I tap the icon of the installed gPodder app and the AppCover opens with the spinner. The spinner keeps spinning, spinning, spinning but nothing happens and the eventually the AppCover closes. I am new to SFOS, is there maybe a directory or something where I might find logs for this?

If it happens when you have another one of a certain group of apps open (to which the phone jumps while trying to open gpodder), it’s another manifestation of the common j2 launcher defect for which the solution is promised for next update. Gpodder works for me, but I see similar issues with OSMscout.

I don’t have a JP2026 yet so can’t test it.

Did you approve the sandbox permissions? Otherwise maybe it’s stuck trying to create the folders it needs.

There are logs that are generated but unless you are comfortable diving into the CLI I don’t know how to tell you to get to them.

Maybe adding an option to pull the logs related to an app from settings would be good now that I think of it.

That was it! I closed the screen time app it was jumping to when trying to open gPodder and now I can open and normally use gPodder. But not the screen time app anymore  so yeah it seems to be that launcher bug and has nothing to do with gPodder. Sorry for the noise
