DESCRIPTION:

Automatic synchronize does not work with Google calendars using Google “protocol”, same problem with using CalDAV.
Only works if I choose manual update from calndar application, sometimes removes everything from every clandar and sometimes it works, but not with entries that has been changed, if there is a caldnar entry that has been added to let’s say tuesday 10:00 and entry gets changed to thursday 10:00, it won’t update and change.

PRECONDITIONS:

use Sailfish Os and Google calendar sync

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Add google account with Settings > Accounts > Add account > Google

  2. Check Calendars, Contacts and Email for Two-way sync

  3. Pull the menu and select Sync

  4. Open stock Calendar app

  5. Add entries with Google clandar (other computer) or ask someone to send you calendar appointment

  6. Wait for autosync amount of time

  7. Check calendar, nothing is visible

  8. Pull menu and select Sync - it starts blinking and maybe the entries come visible

At least also experiencing the autosync part of your issues with google calendar. Can’t even remember if it ever worked properly. An autosync seems to happen very irregular (if ever). Fortunately we have a system that we can tinker with, so we can work around some of the SailfishOS quirks. In my case I have a (cron)job scheduled to sync with my google calender every day so my calendar should be near up-to-date even when I did no manual syncs.

Same here, for me hoogle calendar is no syncing at all, ie entries from the mail account s calendar are not reflecred on the phone.
