DESCRIPTION:

jolla-camera does not start and ends with core dump

PRECONDITIONS:

use a GeminiPDA x25 without extra camera module

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. tap on icon or start in a terminal: jolla-camera

EXPECTED RESULT:

possibility to take pictures

ACTUAL RESULT:

nothing but a core dump

The fourth bug report about the same problem (same cause)?
And even being on top of current topics.

Does not seem to happen universally. my x27, updated OTA via sfos-upgrade, starts the camera and takes pics without issue.

Yes, seems so.
Above repository (adaptation-common) needs to be enabled.

This can be checked via ssu lr.
If it is not on the list under global section follow above link …

the good: camera is working now and the adaptation-common is in the list. Fixed!

the bad: I can’t tell if it was there when it wasn’t working.

In the end it does not matter (and I am absolutely sure it was not).

But what kind of light does this shed on @Jolla’s testing and quality assurance efforts?
