What is the status of Sailfish OS Free licence trial version?
The Jolla web site for selected Sony devices and Sailfis OS licence states that one can download and install free of charge to try out Sailfish OS on a Sony device. However, after registration the download page is empty You do not have any downloads available.
Is the trial SFOS version for xperia devices still available?
Someone complained about this issue on the English telegram last day. Isn’t that a bug resolved by reloading the page once you’re logged in?
Actually I am the same one. I am trying to help a friend installing SFOS on 10iii. The problem is the inconsistency in documentation. It’s not the cost of the 10iii license itself as ppl new to SFOS want to try it first before committing buying the full license.
ps I tried created a second account myself and the download page is empty, reloading the page does not help either.
Just “buy” (for 0 euros) a free Sailfish OS licence using the same Jolla account that will be used on the phone.
Just FYI, if you’re flashing SFOS on there, upgrade the Xperia to Android 13 first. The documentation says you need to be on Android 11, which is wrong and flashing over Android 13 actually is better.
SFOS desperately needs a Wiki like Arch has. Useful information is splintered all over the forum.
