Sailfish OS 4.1.0 brought us this new feature: “Open Forti VPN plugin lets you connect to Fortinet VPNs”.
Even after some search I am a bit lost what Fortinet really is. It seems like a firewall used by companies rather than being a thing for private users. I suspect that’s a feature integrated for OMP and not so much for the Sailfish X users.
Who has experience with Fortinet and can explain the use for private smartphone users in some words? And if it is useful, maybe a hint how to get access?
Fortinet sells network appliances, like switches, firewalls, VPNs etc for medium and large size businesses. It’s not a (free/cheap) service. As a user, don’t bother.
