Flashing Xperia 10 V with android 14: december 2023 patch okay?

Hi!
I’m planning to flash Xperia 10 V with the trial version of sailfish X.
Instructions say its good to flash with Android 14, and all good i’m on android 14.

But my phone (never used) is on android security patch of december 2023.

Does i makes sense to first update the phone to the latest android 14 security patches?
Is there any advantage in that?

Or i shall just proceed to flash with the 2023 version, without any benefit to update first?

Okay.
But is there any benefit to first uprgade to the latest android 14 patches?
Or zero benefit since the android part is just nuked during flashing?

i only flashed my 10v with Android 13…Tampella works good for me…
