Flashing issue on a Xperia 10 Dual sim

Hello,

I bought a Xpéria 10 Dual Sim in order to install Sailfish. I think I went through all the process, but in the end the final response from the Terminal says that “the device is not valid”. I will try to explain as precisly as possible what I did, and if someone has an idea about what to do, I will be very thankful.

First of all I had to undergrade the Xpéria 10 because it as running with Android 10 and I read there ( Supported Devices | Sailfish OS Documentation ), that it would not work with this version. So I unlocked the phone, and used Emma Tool, as suggested, to get Android 9, wich is now ok.

Then I installed the got a license from Jolla shop and downloaded the folder containing Sailfish image, the binary file from Sony and copied it into the preceding folder.

I also installed the fastboot driver to my computer (it’s a Ubuntu distribution).

Finally, when I plugged the phone (with the blue light activated) and wrote the formula to flash Sailfish X in the Terminal, it didn’t work (picture 3).

I don’t understand what I did wrong, but maybe I forgot something… Can somebody help?

Thank you!
Best regards,
Adri

It’s a common error :frowning:
Try with an USB 2.0 port

Thank you very much for your super fast reply. I tried on both ports of my computer, without success… By USB Port, you mean a cable or another computer?

Oh, both. Some USB cable do only charging. Did you try with a USB-hub ?

I tried with the cable I got from the phone. I’ll try! And let you know.

Thank you again!

You have an i4213.

It’s Xperia, not Xpéria.

Sorry, a French reflex…
