I just noticed by accident on my XA2 that swiping across the fingerprint sensor when the device is unlocked emulates arrow keys which is great for moving the text cursor for example. Has anyone else noticed this (on other devices too)? Is this intended behavior and is it documented anywhere? This is a really cool feature but if it weren’t for this coincidence I would have probably never found out…
XA2 Ultra here, no such behaviour. Not in Terminal, not in Browser. Which apps are you experiencing this in?
That’s interesting. I’m experiencing this in apps that support arrow keys which mainly seems to be anything with text input fields, terminal and browser/webview. I wonder if anything I installed introduced this or if it’s something left over from the original Android ROM? I did install mce-tool shortly before I found this out.
Well it can’t be mcetool
because I’m using that too.
Just had a try right now, and it does work indeed, on my xa2
Still faster to use the touch, but can confim it works
Just to clarify, Settings => about Product says
Xperia XA2 Ultra, 4.5.0.24, and Device adaptation 1.0.0.13
My device is H3213.
