Finer/better volume control

The 9% volume adjustment step is a bit too high. Especially when I try to adjust volume while in quiet situations and I want to check something. I think lowest 10% should be 1% steps and rest could be 5% or so. I don’t see why the top bar volume bar also snaps 9% increments. I’d also like to know if there is a config I could edit to get smaller steps as a whole for now

Let me hook onto this thread.

I fetch the steps count/change the volume official way which is by talking to com.Meego.MainVolume2 via dbus. I quite doubt the qml is affecting those steps, and dbus service always reports just 10 step. Ideas?

My solution was pactl set-sink-volume 1 50% xd

The finer volume control patch is good, but only for ringtone volume - can the same be done for media volume?

Not to forget that there must be two setiings for media volume… For Speaker it’s a 9% step (except tge step from 45% to 55%), with headphones it’s a mix of 5% and 6% steps.

So the finer Volume control patch works nice for the pat it covers, but I personaly would prefer 1% steps for all volume slieders (Ringtone, Speakers, Headphones) like it was on Windows 10 Mobile…

I too would like finer control. My android phone seems to have 31 steps, including off.

For me to 9% is way to loud on media.
