if your intention is to swap the battery daily that you are indeed ‘using it wrong’.

Nope, I had to swap JP-1-batteries 2-3x a week, as a sleek backup battery was easier to carry around than powerbricks or cables & chargers. This caused material fatigues. JP-1 batteries were designed and promoted as swapable. JP-2-batteries very obviously not.

It was my attempt at curmudgeonly humor, which was apparently unsuccessful!

I suppose I am missing the point, since you clearly pointed out the JP2 battery is not easily swappable, the need for a more robust way of cover removal.

I will admit I won’t be swapping covers daily, or am such a power user that I will drain a 5Ah battery multiple times in a day.

Just happy that the cover IS removable, that the battery CAN be replaced and that a fully Jolla phone came to fruition!

For Jolla to have TOHs compatible (in a way) it means they either have to introduce the same or very similar phone again and again, or focus on TOHs to make money (assuming it works).

That’s why this thread was started.

1 and most important, jolla won’t make any so if anyone wants anything they should start building it.

And we all don’t know yet, if Jolla will develop some specific TOHs in the future, because:

Still, the one I really would love to have is slide-out qwerty keyboard TOH. That one I kind of hope Jolla would make, as I imagine it to be maybe even financially valid TOH

A keyboard TOH surely is one of the economically safer bets IMHO.

I think that if your TOH requires constant swapping, you can probably include the fast swap mechanism into the TOH itself.

This should be doable, and to cater for heavy TOHs, the back with rails could be screwed down to the phone:

There are also four M1.4 screw inserts (2.0 mm deep) around the device for securing TOH in place. This is useful for heavier and bulkier TOHs that may not have sufficient grip from plastic clips alone.

Then we clearly need TtH C (or TtH type C) which works even upside down.

In this case we need TtH USB-A where you have to turn it around twice to get it to attach!

Remember to change the naming scheme in the middle of configuration version 3.0 and apply the changes retroactively in every version of 3.x!
