After being a Sailfish OS user for over 3 years, I unfortunately have to say goodbye to this beautiful OS.
Due to a mobile provider switch which is causing internet problems for me on SFOS (rendering normal daily operations unusable), I have had to move on (or rather downgrade) to an Android phone again.
Hoping the problem was related to the phone itself (an Xperia 10 II at the time) I bought an Xperia 10 V, but on this device I encountered the exact same problem.
Because of this, the 10 V has been lying around here (unused) for a few months now and since I am not going to use it, I decided to make it available for sale. Along with the phone comes a matching Spigen Rugged Armor Case and 2 Spigen Alignmaster Screen Protectors. See also the pictures below:
I think it is fair to ask €350 for this whole set (excluding shipping, which will be from the Netherlands). It will be delivered in Sailfish OS factory settings.
I am also open to other proposals of course. Please send me a private message if you are interested!
Can’t you just switch to a different provider? I would not give up so fast. What exactly is your internet problem, maybe someone can help you stay with sfos. Or are there any more reasons?
I really appreciate your helpfulness, but made my choice a while ago. I am stuck with my phone plan for 2 years and am really dependent on good 5G.
Some time ago I also made a post on this forum to troubleshoot the problem (https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/cellular-connection-dropping-very-frequently), but at the time more people reported having an unreliable cellular connection. Combined with some other minor frustrations regarding Sailfish OS, i have just resigned for now.
A question from my side, which dutch provider?
Meh, I don’t like Dutch people quitting such fights. There is much technical freedom in this country (partly) because of fights like these.
I’d like to know which provider is the issue? Mainly which of the 3 network providers, not mainly the service provider.
I’ve had problems with Vodafone, but the issue doesn’t seem to be specific for this provider. On my previous plan (Odido) I also started having issues, which is partly the reason I switched.
