Hi, I would like to export my messages to a different phone. I tried using SMS Backup from F-Droid, but although I granted all permissions, it does not export any messages.
Any other ideas on how to to that?

use the backup functionality from settings, the exported file will contain sms
If you’re looking to export nothing but messages, this is a handy option as well:
For that you have to first activate developer mode in order to have access to the terminal
Thanks for the replies! Will I be able to import those on an Android phone?
When exported via settings, there will be an ‘all.vcf’ in the resulting package (iirc). I presume that can be handled by at least some android applications.
Yes, but it contains all the contacts, not messages.
VCF = virtual contact file
This document explains how to export messages from the Sailfish SQL database to a spreadsheet file. I have not tried it for a while but I believe it is ok.
Thank you, that worked fine. However, I have not found a way/App to import SMS from a csv file. All apps only seem to support their own format.
Yeah, that has always been so between all systems. A pity, to be honest.
You can find some information here.
If you have courage and time, you can adapt the script found above and transpose it for android.
