The events view calendar event list only shows future events, not the ones that are currently ongoing. This makes it easier to miss an ongoing event if the start time was missed.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Create a meeting at 9:00-12:00

EXPECTED RESULTS:

Calendar event is visible in events view also after 9:00 until 12:00

ACTUAL RESULTS:

Event is now shown once its start time has passed

Isn’t this a feature request, rather than a bug report?

Hmm, I think you’re correct. I’ll move the thread.

Note: This does not affect all-day events, as those actually are visible in the events view during that day.

It can also be seen as a regression, as SFOS 4.5 does indeed show ongoing events just like future events:

As an idea, what about showing the end date for ongoing events somehow like this?

Okay, so this could be a regression bug indeed…

I’m using a NextCloud calendar for these, if it matters.

Could someone test this with a synced calendar in <= 4.5? If it still happens, I’ll move this back to bugs.

The first screenshot above is from 4.5 with a synced calendar.

I just tried it, I see ongoing events on the event screen even on 4.6 with a nextcloud synced calendar

But nevertheless showing the end in such a case would be a great addition.

Okay, it looks like I need to do some more testing and diagnosis. Thanks for your input so far!
