Hi, I use signal and Ive used their voice chat and video call features a lot. But now that ive been trying to switch to sailfishOS (Fairphone 4 so no android app support) Is there a Matrix app with voice/video call support?

voice calls are not possible on sailtrix. Possible ‘experimentally’ with Hydrogen, but I’ve never tried it.
Signal (Android version) works well in SFOS with all features, however for chatting, I would recommend Whisperfish (the unofficial Signal client of SFOS: Whisperfish | OpenRepos.net — Community Repository System). Sailtrix is perfect in that respect as well but unfortunately without the calling functionality.

The OP was neither asking about Signal, nor has the ability to run Android apps…
…which, speaking of, is Waydroid borked on Sailfish or something? I thought I heard it was a viable alternative to the cringe, proprietary AAS.
To answer the question, though – last I checked there really isn’t any good, mature Matrix client for Sailfish yet. After trying both Hydrogen and Sailtrix I eventually just gave in and installed Element X through AAS.

I thought on Fairphone 4 waydroid does work, am I wrong?
I will try out Hydrogen. But I did think that waydroid was borked from how people talk about android support on the fp4 port thread, but I guess I’ve never actually tried to get it to work.
Couldnt get waydroid to work. Installed it from chum, waydroid and waydroid runner. Ran waydroid init as root and tried launching but it doesnt work.
