Email shows two inbox pages when opening mail from the notifications

DESCRIPTION:

The email app shows two inbox pages when you open an email from the notifications.

PRECONDITIONS:

None

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Tap on an email from the notifications
  2. You go to the email page
  3. Swipe LtoR and you get to the inbox
  4. You will notice that there is a back indicator on the top left
  5. Swipe again LtoR and you get again to the same page

EXPECTED RESULT:

LtoR swipe from the main should get you to the inbox without another back indicator or page.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Two inbox pages.

Thanks for reporting this @ApB . There should be a fix for this in the next release, so I’ve tagged this as “fixed”. If you could please give it a go after the next release and report back here with what you find, it would be appreciated.

You mean the fact that the folders are on the right hand side, rather than the left?

Yes. Exactly that. It feels wrong.

I can understand. I guess it is to avoid having to start deep in the page stack, so there are reasons for it, but it can feel a bit unexpected.

You basically start at one page deep (when starting the app). And two when starting it from a notification (display the message). Nothing too extreme from my POV.

Anyway. There are a lot to be improved in the email app.

This is now fixed in 4.5.0!
