Sad. Will you change the screen?
(AM)OLED panels are kind of fragile with drop, it’s often an all-or-nothing result. My C2 fell about six times onto hard surfaces like stone floors and a marble table, but inside its transparent cover there are no scratches or damage, screen and touch working with no problems.
I would say that if the battery is still healthy, a repair could be worth it if you can get a display for about €50, otherwise you could buy a used one for around €100.
I can still SSH in so might just relegate it to server status and wait for the J2.
Just bummed, was all set up so nice

Did this to my XA2. Replaced the screen based on some video. It is not so difficult. Would guess you could get a new one for around 50€. Only thing I also had to replace was the battery cable inside because I broke it.
As target for compiling of app may be still usefull, or?

I borked the display of a XA2 and now it’s a great remote sensor in all sorts of projects.

Get well soon; perhaps your J2 phone got angry when it heard that it was coming 
Aliexpress are offering new 10 iii displays for £32 (+/- 36 euros), but they are TFT not OLED but look on the bright side…. price includes free shipping and tax paid. (GB).
