Dragging not working well on keyboard prediction bar

HARDWARE (XA2, X10, X10 II, …): XA2, X10 II, ginkgo, vince, etc…
UI LANGUAGE: EN, CN, etc …

DESCRIPTION:

To be clear, i recored a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MSRfRApOno
The left device is Redmi Note8 with PinyinIME, the right device is xa2 with jolla-xt9-cp, i have tested other keyboards like Presage based , all the same.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Just type some charactor and dragging on prediction bar

EXPECTED RESULT:

We can drag words from right to left

ACTUAL RESULT:

Stuck on prediction bar

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

I reflashed one device to 3.4.0.24, and dumped all file under /usr/share/maliit/plugins/com, replace to 4.1.0.24, dragging function was working again as expected.

@0312birdzhang Thank you a lot for mentioning PinyinIME! I always thought I would lose a proper input method for Chinese when I switch to a community port. I’m not interested in Android compatibility or application support, but features like IME would make me buy a license.

Seems it was fixed in 4.2.0.19
