Double tapping on C2 with screen black does not wake it up

DESCRIPTION:

if C2 is on, but screen is black, double tap does not wake it up. pressing power button does.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. have phone on
  2. wait until screen is black
  3. double-tap

EXPECTED RESULT:

i expected it to wake up

ACTUAL RESULT:

no reaction

What makes you think this should work?
It has not worked on barely any phones for many years.

This is unfortunately a hardware issue. The C2 has a combined display and touchscreen controller, and the way it is implemented makes it impossible to keep the touch screen powered on while the display is off.
