Does norwegian banking apps work on Jolla?

Both BankID and Vipps works as intended.You have to open BankID manually because apps that use it for login or verification does not do that automaticaly. You will need MicroG for both.The DNB app is not working.

I have not managed to get VIPPS working (and the same goes with DNB).

i would love to see a guide with the steps needed to get it working (as I’m fairly new to the plattform). I have a Sony Xperia X (and a C2 ordered).

Firstly you will need to have MicroG installed and set up correctly. Just search for MicroG here on the forum. I installed Vipps from the Aurora store and it works out of the box without any issus on my C2. I don’t remember if you need BankId for the setup or not. The DNB app is not working at all. It installs without any errors but crashes as soon as you try to log in. I have not tried to start the app in the terminal so I don’t know why

Just one more thing. Other apps or websites that uses Vipps or BankId for payment or verification do not open them automatically like they do on Android.

Micro G installed, some settings tweaked and VIPPS started. Had to install a supported browser (chrome, edge, brave) to authenticate with bank id I am now logged in to VIPPS. I also installed Ruter and stepped through it all the way to wanted to transfer my ticket.

I just tried to add entries, can’t seem to edit that first post in the thread. To anyone else finding this, I can confirm Vipps, BankID and Sparebank 1 apps work fine, see my post in the Banking apps on Sailfish OS thread. As mentioned, MicroG with permissions set is a prerequisite, as is a supported browser for BankID (DuckDuckGO works, as does apparently Chrome, Edge and Brave). No issues what so ever, except I suspect notifications might not be as reliable. Just open the app and do whatever you need to do. I can definitely live with this.
