Disabling Plop/Touch sounds in StreetComplete

StreetComplete is a very cool app that makes adding data to OpenStreetMap quite fun. However, on SailfishOS there is one thing that makes it super annoying to use: Whenever one fulfils a task / answers a question, the icon vanishes with a PLOP sound, which then stops any other audio such ss the Sailfish media player. This effectively prevents listening to music or an audiobook during mapping which is indescribably annoying.

Apparently disabling “touch sounds” in Android settings disables them. But I tried every Android setting on my SailfishOS and can’t get rid of them. It would be very nice if there was just a setting in SC to mute it.

I’m still on SFOS 4.6 Sauna (afraid to update).

I guess it would already help if one could teach SailfishOS to just keep playing audio if something else makes sound. Any ideas?

So you found the Android (as in actually Android-looking stuff) settings in SFOS? And you turned off stuff there, including in the advanced section?

This is a feature, not a bug. This way notifications don’t get lost in music.

Of course. devel-su -p apkd-launcher com.android.settings.

Closest setting I could find. There is no Touch sounds setting. :person_shrugging: The notification volume above also doesn’t help. The Do not Disturb mode also doesn’t help.

Obviously. Hence my question how to disable it.
