I’m struggling to disable vibration on unlock. Please support disabling it if it’s not supported already.
Why does this matter at all?
I think you answered the question. If it doesn’t matter, let’s disable it. It seems the OS has so many unnecessary things.
When you try to unlock the Jolla Phone with your fingerprint, you have to scan it twice. The first time you scan it, you’re still on the lock screen; the second time, it takes you to the home screen, and it vibrates twice. And if it fails to read your fingerprint on top of that, it becomes even more annoying. I agree with him on that.
I know this can be disabled through the terminal, right? Are you an expert on this?
It is a good confirmation to have to know that the fingerprint was actually read. I can only imagine the frustration if there was no feedback and the reader had stopped working, either due to software or too much dirt and how annoying that would be to figure out.
If i doesn’t hurt you, what does it matter if it exists?
Mine does not vibrate when unlocking, should it?
I have the vibration setting set to Only when silent and mine does not vibrate on unlock.
I also like the fact that you don’t have to actually press the button to read the fingerprint. Just touching the button will suffice.
Hi. If it doesn’t… Lucky you. ![]()
Hi. I was frustrated as well, but found a - or maybe even “the” way:
Settings > Sounds and Feedback > Vibration > Never.
I personally overlooked it, didn´t notice it initially. - Hope it works for your as well. cu
This works only if your phone’s ringtone volume is not 0% and it also disabled vibration for notifications.
Not exactly and ideal solution.
