Hi there, I previously made a post about making a rugged case for the new Jolla Phone and it has gained a lot of traction, indicating the need for such a case. Regrettably, however there is still no case on option. Please can I request that I/we can be provided with the specific dimension of the new phone so I can try see if I can organise rugged cases to be made?

We will probably have the exact dimensions soon as there’s 10 days or so left for the device to be delivered.
But do we really needed a new thread for this? On the other thread that “gained a lot of traction” I counted 5 people who want a rugged case and half of them meant the grandpa case (wallet).
Possibly, but I am hoping that the Jolla staff might respond to this post as they didn’t to the last one.
Jolla staff is most likely extremely busy with the event 10. July, finishing version 5.2 of SFOS, doing everything necessary for the launch of Commodore Callback. I think that we all need to be patient, and wait for a while with all our wishes.

No need to speculate, Jolla has announced that they will make some CAD files available for Makers.
We don’t know when yet, true.
But it’s reasonable to assume it’s going to be close to the launch event.
