Debugging Garmin Connect App on SFOS 4.6.0.15

Hi,
I’m looking for some helpful pointers as to figuring out why the Garmin Connect App does not launch/immediately exit when trying to start.

I’m running SFOS 4.6.0.15 on a Xperia 10 II and I’m trying with the Garmin Connect App v5.6 (https://apkcombo.com/garmin-connect/com.garmin.android.apps.connectmobile/)

Installation seems to work fine, the Icon gets placed on my desktop. Trying to launch results in the greyed out icon with spinner for ~15-20 seconds and then the app closes/stops.

Trying to get some kind of information from the logs, but nothing which seems helpful to me.

Did anybody else climb down this rabbit hole and found a solution yet? I already tried a couple of older versions of the app, no success yet.
Any tips as to how I could get more verbose log entries to figure out what goes wrong?

Any help is very much appreciated,
best regards
Jakob

Garmin Connect sound s like it would want to connect over Bluetooth to some device. That’s not going to happen. So even if you get it to start; what would it be useful for?

I have tried to connect my Garmin watch to Connect several times. I’ve turned on bluetooth from my X10 lll, but the Garmin Connect app asks if I want to connect to bluetooth and I push yes button and nothing happens.

My X10 lll also does not connect to the Kia car.

Not going to happen. Just forget about it.

Search the forum for any of the gazillion threads about Bluetooth in AAS for more backstory.

Yeah, just a couple of hours later I found a version in the Aurora store which I was able to install and then I stumbled upon the above mentioned issues regarding Bluetooth and stuff…
So I’m going to take a look a GitHub - miikasda/gols: Upload / Synchronize data from Garmin watch to Garmin Connect on linux if I can get this to do some stuff I want, but I’m not that hopeful

In general I would have liked to get some tips regarding the debugging (such a problem does not need to only occur with the Garmin Connect App), but will close this thread, because this specific problem can’t really be solved.

Thanks, as you can see in my initial post I already checked those logs.
I was hoping for maybe some additional debug levels, custom break points or something in that regard, when the application doesn’t produce any helpful information as to why it stopped.
