Add your name/nick using the template below to suggest a topic.
Indicate how much time you’ll need so we can time-box the meeting accordingly.
Please be as thorough as you can with your question/topic.
If you can’t make the meeting please ask and name a substitute.
It is expected that you show up and present your topic, or name a substitute and make sure they attend in your absence. These IRC meetings are for real time participation and live discussions, otherwise you can post the topic on here and get responses that way.
We need you to be present to clarify details in the topic, and to ensure the discussion is leading to the answers you are looking for! If you do not participate or your question/topic isn’t clear enough it will be postponed. Also: always ask for more time than you anticipate your topic needs!
Please have your topics ready at least 3 days before the meeting so we can prepare good answers. Topics announced afterwards will be postponed to the next meeting.

I will definitely not be able to participate actively as I’ll be on the road. I apologize in advance, I realize that this is a bit rude.
Feel free to postpone the topics for another meeting.

Topic: More generic features enabled in kernel configs
Some details about the topic: More generic kernel configs
I’d like to raise awareness for this feature request, maybe for SFOS5 we could get a couple of the more desktop-y kernel functions enabled?
My personal wish would be filesystems like NFS, CIFS and UDF, but there are some other requests in the linked topic.
Where would a “formal” request with specific features have to be directed? mer-hybris/mer-kernel-check? Somewhere else?
Some details about the topic:
This is a bit of a Folllow-up question to an older one forum topicmeeting log: The answer to the earlier question was: Opening up adaptation sources got J Tablet and JollaC (one) was “are tricky as there were some proprietary sources”.
Will such components be made available for the C2 device?
Also, as noted here, open source tarballs are not currently available e.g. at Index of /sources/. Will these be available? If so, when?
Do users who want to have access to e.g. the GPLv2 kernel sources, indeed have to put that as a written request to Jolla, as noted in the Sailfish OS License Terms?
Is there a plan for generating the VoLTE settings files required for service where Sony has not done so?
The required information can probably be prised out of at least one of the carriers here, but it is believed that it has then to be put into some signed binary blob by someone authorised by Qualcomm e.g. Sony
Can Jolla confirm what is actually required to add VoLTE support for the Sony VoLTE capable phones? Is it only Sony? Is it any Qualcomm partner? Can Jolla do it?
Has Jolla a plan for how this can be achieved with or without Sony?
