Clipboard looses new line LF/CR

Continuing the discussion from Main camera does not start:

REPRODUCIBILITY (% or how often): 100%
BUILD ID: 3.2.1.20
HARDWARE (Jolla1, Tablet, XA2,…): XA2
UI LANGUAGE: EN
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): ? (do not know exactly, I am so used to such small misbehavements, but definitely is here for longer time)

DESCRIPTION:

When copying output from terminal or either notes app or into e.g. browser text box or into a txt file via vi/nano the copied text looses line breaks.

PRECONDITIONS:

None.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. use terminal or notes app
  2. select/copy any few lines
  3. paste the content of clipboard to browser text box or into vi/nano
  4. find just one line

EXPECTED RESULT:

Pasted text shows up with line breaks and not tied together in one line.

ACTUAL RESULT:

All lines show up in one line, hard to read/differentiate.

Using 3.3.0.16 here and pasting a multi-line text from the Notes app into vi or vim on the Terminal and into the Messages app, E-Mail app works fine here. Only pasting into the Browser does not work.

Oops, you are right.
VIm works but nano does not! :thinking:
(I installed vim just some time ago, so maybe vim works but vi not? If someone could confirm please?)

Also irritating:
pasting to WhatsApp (Android) works.

Nano works for me too. And also Android apps like WhatsApp, Signal and Firefox
