DESCRIPTION:
If you receive an html file as an attachment to an email you are not able to read it. An error message ‘filetype application/xhtml+xml is not supported’
PRECONDITIONS:
None
STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
- send yourself or receive an email with a simple html file attached
- click on the attachment
- Error message is displayed
EXPECTED RESULT:
A webview or browser is opened and the file displayed.
At the very least you should be able to save the attachment to your downloads or documents folder and then open it through the browser or by clicking on it in a file manager or whatever.
I know that you can scrabble around for the attachment in the Sailfish mail directory, but it is difficult to find in oddly named directories, etc - and this is not really the point. You should have the choice in mail of either viewing or downloading.
ACTUAL RESULT:
An error message is displayed
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
(Please ALWAYS attach relevant data such as logs, screenshots, etc…)
Since the browser, etc is already there I presume this is just a matter of fixing some mime entry somewhere so that the file can be displayed.
Thee was nothing special about the html file attached - it was a simple tabular text file exported from an application in html format containing no web links, pictures, etc
There should be no reason why Sailfish cannot display this attachement
