Can't create or add existing Jolla account on XA2

HARDWARE (XA2, Xperia 10…): XA2
UI LANGUAGE: Finnish (tried also US English)
REGRESSION: (compared to previous public release: Yes, No, ?): YES

DESCRIPTION:

I just re-flashed Sailfish OS on my XA2 (the old installation got somehow mangled). Things appear to be fine otherwise but registering a new Jolla account or adding an old one crashes the settings program. This also leads to not being able to install software from Kauppa.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Flash Koli on XA2
  2. Try to create or add existing Jolla account

EXPECTED RESULT:

Adding an existing account or registering a new account works.

ACTUAL RESULT:

BOOM

Is there a command line program to try the same? It seems the mcetool is no longer there so I wonder what should I use.

This actually appears to be related to a TCP MSS problem in the local wireless network (or rather the IPv6 connection relying on 6rd). But a failure to verify a certificate for instance should be properly communicated to the user and not crash the application.
