cant replicate, I tried 2 different powerbanks and watched YT video at the same time, they both worked just fine. (also this wasnt my first time using them either I just had to re-check)

one was Denver PQC-10009 other one was KSIX Slim

Am going to try the issue againg tomorrow when the battery level was 3% the phone battery didint manage to charge.

I’ve got a similar problem with a charger. It can output 5 and 9V.
I get the feeling there’s a link with chargers and batteries that can deliver ‘multivolt’ output.
Could anyone try testing this theory, if you’ve got this sort of device?

That is the definition of USB PD.

Edit: my guess is that there is some issues with PD communication an negotiation fails.

Is charging weak (few hundred mA) or non existant?

Try with another cable? Bouth the Denver and Wiesendahl have PD. Seems non logical that one should work and not the other?

When any code is involved ‘nonlogical’ issues can happen.

I had a problem with one anker powerbank, too. Switching off the “charge limit” setting in Jolla phone made the powerbank work. I had configured it to stop at 90%.

I have the same problem with my Xperia 10 II. Some chargers work, others don’t. Our two power banks don’t work either.

The funny thing is that they all worked at first. I can’t really make out when it started or what might have triggered it.

I hope the J2 won’t behave the same way when it arrives.

Did you changed charging limit? Or can you try that now?

I’ve tried to recall whether I changed anything. At the moment, I haven’t set a threshold for charging. I can’t tell if I had one set earlier. I’ll try it out tomorrow.

It’s been like this for quite a while, as I said before. I suspected it started with an update somehow. Over the last two years, I haven’t been so careful about monitoring my phone. I’ve just been too busy.

When i tried today the portable charger worked correctly charging fast. But i noticed charging from laptop it charged very slow 1-3% in 30 mins my other devices charge fine Sony IV for example. My charging level is set 100%

I noticed charging problems also on new JP, SFOS 5.2.0.13. I’m using laptop power source which gives me 3A @ 5V, 9V, & 15V, and 3.25A@20V. On the screenshot you can see that at time ~7:35 the charging rate went down when I was using the phone, and later it picked up again when I stopped using it. At the time when the phone was in use the charging icon was visible on top left corner of the screen like normal and I was just wondering why the charging is so slow. I’m using the default charging limit 90%. At next charge I will try to disable the limit to see if it makes a different.
