Cannot create Google Account

DESCRIPTION:

I have an error message (400 Invalid request) when I try to create a Google Account to read my emails.

PRECONDITIONS:

No Google Account

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Settings
  2. Accounts
  3. Add Account
  4. Google
  5. Consent
  6. Error

EXPECTED RESULT:

A page to be able to sign-in with Google

ACTUAL RESULT:

A page with :
Authorization Error
Error 400: Invalid request

You can’t sign in to this app because it doesn’t comply with Google’s OAuth 2.0 policy for keeping apps secure.

You can let the developer konw that this app doesn’t comply with on or more Google validation rules.

It was working fine until beginning of November. I add to reinstall my phone (factory reset) and since then I can’t create a Google account and read my emails.

There is no point in bug-reporting Sailfish OS 3.4 on the Jolla 1. It is 2 years out of support.

Have exactly same problem with XA2 dual, os 4.3.

There is also no point in bug-reporting 4.3 when 4.4 is readily available.

Please update to the latest version and comment here if you still can’t create an account.

my XA2 shows version Suomenlinna 4.3.0.12 ‘up to date’ so where do i find ver 4 please?

Are you maybe not running a licensed version?
GUI updates are a one of those nice-to-have features left out to try to convince people to pay for something they use.
If this is the case, just search and you will find.
