Cannot connect to XMPP server

I use a Xperia 10 II and used to connect to a self hosted XMPP server (Prosody on Linux). The connection stopped working after the update to 5.0.0.78. I did install 5.1: Still no connection.

When i try to connect, i get error messages in journalctl:

Buildin connection … … org.freedesktop.Telepathy.Error.NetworkError “WOCKY_CONNECTOR_ERROR_TLS_SESSION_FAILED: TLS handshake error: Handshake failed: error:0A0C0103: SSL routines::internal error”

I have checked the certificate. It is a self signed certificate, it is shown in the list of trusted certificates and it is not expired.

Does anyone have an idea, what to check or how to proceed?

@jolla must rebuild telepathy

Thank you very much. I installed telepathy-gabble-plus using Storeman. XMPP-Connection works fine again.

with telepathy-gabble-plus i also recommend to turn on all the flags via mc-tool for xmpp account to get Message Carbons, Chat Markers, Message Archive Management and HTTP File Upload.

anyway http file upload sadly does not work for me as it always trying send file directly instead of http upload via share plugin share-plugin-telepathy | OpenRepos.net — Community Repository System
would be nice if somebody could fix this to be able to share pictures via xmpp
