I have also try this let say but i give it up now and move to Android then everything works out of the box…
I just have try again white background now indeed it scanning when i keep it far away but not into the first try, but then i get an error into the app it can not read the qr code so, i think this would still be a camera problem into some way, i try it on my new android device and it works there from the first try even with black black background…. so this apps can not scan it seems on AppSupport for some resion….
Same problem in the austrian banking app george when scanning banking information.

I thought I had a similar issue with itsme. But then one day I found that taking a little more distance, and giving the camera time to focus and then gradually come little by little closer to the pc screen, it worked. Since then it has never failed me again … . Scanning codes with bankapps or payconiq or bancontact pay always work for me.

I’ve had a similar experience scanning a cheque with the UK HSBC Banking app. Also in my experience with barcode scanning in AAS, freeing up memory/CPU by closing other apps also helps.
Just installed my banking app and photo tan app for scanning of colored photo tan qr codes.
With bad light in the room, it was not possible to scan the qr vode, but with good ligth ambience it was easy possible.
And yes, this is not as good as my pixel 9pro with graphene, but it works good.
Tested on Xperia 10III.

In my experience the camera in my Xperia 10 III generally needs a long time to focus on the subject. Camera apps work ok (both SF and AndroidAS) but typically with Android apps it takes time to get the camera to focus. Hold your device absultely still helps.
I guess the problem is with the software that tries to acces the camera. That would explain the the different experiences between some apps.
I’m not sure it has anything to do with the camera it self since when i use the android app Barcode Scanner it always reads the codes and does so very fast. I think it has to do how well different software implementations work. Earlier when QR codes didn’t work very well i used that app to read the code and used the information if possible.
Like i told before you can not scan this code with any other app, this are special codes generated…. not just a qr code….
