Ps, well the device turned off pretty much immediately and now its screwed 
I wish I had seen this earlier as I am in East Africa and getting Jolla devices is challenging

Well, maybe you can order a used XA2 from eBay and do some OS switch by yourself - this way you’ll have the latest Sailfish for a very good price.
Well, it is a what it is.
On the bright side I will be meeting with explit tomorrow to flash the device, so more sailor friends to nerd over sfos and stuff.
