C2 - unable to close app by swiping on certain surfaces

REPRODUCIBILITY: yes
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.70
HARDWARE: C2
UI LANGUAGE: German
REGRESSION: no (I realised it had already been there before in 5.0)

DESCRIPTION:

When phone is lying on some surfaces (e.g. bed) one can not close an app by swiping when only touching the phone on the screen. When you touch the phone additionally on the side just a little bit with a second finger of the same hand (with or without bumper case) it immediately works. Removing second finger again makes it impossible to close the app by swiping.

PRECONDITIONS:

Phone has to lay on soft (?) flat (?) surface e.g. bed

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. open app

  2. place phone on e.g. bed

  3. try to close app by swiping only by touching the screen

  4. nothing happens

  5. touching the phone slightly on the side with a finger of the same hand immediately makes it possible to close app.

EXPECTED RESULT:

App closes when swiping down from left or right side of top screen edge

ACTUAL RESULT:

App does not close when swiping down from left or right side of top screen edge

MODIFICATIONS:

“calendar on lock screen” patch, openrepo apps

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Has this something to do with a certain grade of electric isolation from the material underneath the phone?

Edit: When phone ist plugged in it also works. Disconnect the phone and it stops working

I have the same phenomenon on my XA2 when it lays unplugged in the car, generally while using PureMaps, I can’t e.g. zoom by pinching, etc.
I didn’t try to navigate from my bed though :–)
