C2 security code screen infinity loading after input code + click check button

REPRODUCIBILITY: Always
OS VERSION: havnt check yet as I can not get in. But it’s Jolla C2’s default version
HARDWARE: Jolla C2
UI LANGUAGE: English
REGRESSION:

DESCRIPTION:

  1. After setup (setup security code, no account login, finished the guild app) playing with it and ran out of battery
  2. After charging, boot, then if I input the security code, click the “check” button, it gives that loading circle with “Enter security code” displayed forever. Waiting for several minutes but it’s still stuck there. Not unlocked, no error given
  3. Try reboot and input again, still the same issue

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Setup the phone on first boot
  2. Enter security code
  3. Repeat security code
  4. “Connect” button does not response. I reboot it and repeat 1-4, button still not response, so I skip it.
  5. Finish the first time guild app
  6. Manually connect to my WIFI. Play with the phone (no app installed,just using the browser) until battery runs out
  7. Charge it and boot, enter security code, click “check” → Get infinity loading circle
  8. Reboot and retry, still the same
  9. Charge it up and reboot and retry, still the same

EXPECTED RESULT:

After click the “check” button, the phone unlocked

ACTUAL RESULT:

After click the “check” button, it only display a loading circle forever.

MODIFICATIONS:

No. Brand new phone.

Just have a look at the forum and you will see this is largely reported (by some users). Jolla will help you after you open a ticket at jolla.zendesk.
Unfortunately there is only the option of reflashing by a Jolla employee. There are also support days in Finland and Berlin (and perhaps other places) if you can attend…but this is already late.
