i have manually added the xt9 repo from SF 4.5 and it worked for me.
Thank you so much!!! You literally saved my day/weekend!
After removing the patch and rebooting the keyboard is back.
(I must have installed the patch while fiddling around with the keyboard settings trying to find xt9 packages or so, all was well until I rebootedâŚ)
You are the hero of my day!
repo :-), but at least, strange, didnt work for me. I added the repo, i can see that the repo is there with ssu lr, ut xt9-feature is not found. Run zypper ref right before, but package is not comin up. I have to say, I first added the repo on the mobile itself, but didnt work correct because of copy paste error, so i deleted and readded the repo wit ssu. so what could be the trick?
thx
Try feature-xt9
!
thx a lot but ahhhhh, Iâm on my xperia 10III but none of the commands couldnât find any packages to download but itâs text prediction is installed .
X10III was also my unit. I think maybe you need to be root. Donât remember exactly.
The command is one single. Donât split it.
When finished, I found one folder in home directory, called xt9-rpms
, containing all the rpms needed. In my case, 7 of them.
I wished I could transfer this from my XA2 plus to you. I find it disturbing while typing and I prefer to make my own mistakes.
I want to get rid of it. Is that possible?
Sure, just uninstall the packages mentioned earlier. The command will be pkcon remove
followed by the name of the package, e.g. pkcon remove feature-xt9
.
Did anyone succeed with installing predictive text on C2?
I extracted these packages from my Sony 10 III, OS 4.6.0.15:
- feature-xt9-0.0.7-1.3.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- jolla-handwriting-0.1.5-1.3.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- jolla-keyboard-settings-xt9-0.8.28.3-1.7.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- jolla-xt9-0.5.19-1.5.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- jolla-xt9-cp-0.2.12-1.3.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- patterns-sailfish-xt9-0.0.7-1.3.2.jolla.aarch64.rpm
- jolla-xt9-server-0.5.19-1.4.61.jolla.aarch64.rpm
However, copying them and manual installing did not bring predictive text to C2
Edit: reboot and installing again helped
This fixed it for me:
zypper install keyboard-presage-de_DE
From Chum
Also I did copied those 7 files after running above mentioned command by @olf manually from my Xperia 10iii (4.6.0.15) to my C2 (5.0.0.29). A reboot was helpful but I noticed first that I was not able to install the 7 packages until I changed the permission rights to executable for each file. Never mind, now I got predictive text working on the C2. Thank you guys!
