[C2] Camera-App malfunction when trying to toggle from selfie-cam to main-cam

The jolla-camera in my C2 (running latest SFOS v. 5.0.0.72) does not work properly any more after having used it normally, I switched from main-camera to the selfie-cam. I tried switching back but the toggle button does not respond at all. Closing the jolla-camera app and rebooting did not help, the camera app still is in the same state and shows the selfie mode only while the toggle button is not working. All other buttons in the camera app work normally. I check Advanced Camera app as well as several Android camera apps, all work normal and I can take pictures with the main camera. CSD also showed that the main camera works just fine and can take images. Before filing a bug report and before trying to devel-su pkcon remove jolla-camera and then devel-su pkcon install jolla-camera, I would like to ask if anyone experienced the same or a similar issue with jolla-camera app? I’m a bit hesitated to remove and reinstall. Thanks in advance!

I don’t use my C2, but this issue sounds familiar with another one on the XA2.

Unfortunately, I don’t remember exactly what was the issue although it was something related to a non starting camera. The solution was to reinstall some packages. I don’t have the time to find the bug report for the moment.

I don’t use the C2 camera very much, but once after switching between main and selfie cameras and back to main, the toggle button and other buttons (like wide angle) stopped working. Closing the app and reopening it didn’t help, it was stuck in main camera and no buttons worked so I couldn’t take a pic. Rebooting the phone helped however, and everything worked fine since. It happened only that one time, and it was -15C outside, not sure if that has anything to do with the situation :slightly_smiling_face: I haven’t been able to reproduce the problem.

Thanks all! This dconf reset -f /apps/jolla-camera/ solution indeed helped.

I got into the same situation on XA2 Plus today! accidentally pressed the selfie icon on the main pulley menu and Camera stucked in selfie mode, toggle switch does not work.
