[C2] Available wifis not refreshing correctly

REPRODUCIBILITY: Always? Need to confirm that. Occurred several times
OS VERSION: 5.0.0.21
HARDWARE: C2
UI LANGUAGE: French
REGRESSION: Yes, over XA2 + 4.6.x

DESCRIPTION:

When going back home, the phone does not auto connect to my home wifi, despite the wifi being available.

PRECONDITIONS:

Wifi must be enabled, and network working.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Connect to home wifi
  2. Go outside the range of wifi (go to work)
  3. Restart the network subsystem. Wifi is still on, but not connected to anything
  4. Go back home

EXPECTED RESULT:

Phone automatically connect to home network.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Phone stays on mobile connection. When listing the available wifis, the list contains the wifi availables when the network subsystem was restarted (eg, at work).

MODIFICATIONS:

None that i can find relevant.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

If more logs are needed, i can provide them but will need some directions on which to provide and how.

Nice report. IIRC there were more reports than mine about WiFi not conected automatically. Even without network restart.
OTOH most of the times my C2 autoconnect works great.

Confirmed, exactly the same for me.

I’ll report if there will still be some WiFi auto reconnect issues after some time with 5.0.0.29. None for now :heart_eyes:.

Thanks for reporting. This is a known issue, we have seen this behavior as well. There is a simple workaround though: disable and re-enable WLAN.
