I second that and turn to manual brightness until its fixed.
One thing I’ve noticed is that if you’re sitting in a dark room, your screen is at the lowest brightness and you open a mostly white page, like this forum in the browser, the brightness will keep going up until it hits the maximum brightness, despite the fact that you’re still sitting in a dark room. I think this is because the sensor is a bit too sensitive and assumes that the white light reflected on your face is actually a light source.
Maybe that or the Screen-Light reflects on the Bumber-Edges back to the Brightness-Sensor.
Both is relatively easy testable.
this is the first time a see someone complaining about too bright screen, usually it is the other way round
