my C2 arrived in Tempere
but no news about its recovery by jolla
i sent an email this morning reporting that my C2 arrived in Tempere i even sent the chronopost number. But no news. it worries me
I’d say there is no need to worry too much at this point. It seems they have a bunch of devices (both ones returned by customers and ones not yet shipped) which will require a manual intervention before they will be returned/shipped. All this will unfortunately take a bit of time to manage.
I have no hope that we will get back a functional C2 this year.
I’m in the same situation and think that they will pick up phones in batches once they have the software fixes ready to flash on them. I’m thinking in particular to the recovery mode implementation.
Elsewhere in the forum it was mentioned that 5.0.0.28 version is currently being tested.
Hopefully, it will be the version flashed on our devices.
guys, Keep calm. My Jolla is also arrived in Tampere yesterday. All the phones been flashed with the newest SW Version, checked, UK English as Language is chosen and 12345 as Security code. Both can be changed later in settings. After the C2 is checked and working fine its packed again and get an sealing sticker before sending them back.
Just sit back and drink tea… they proceed the phones one after another. Thats normal, that they don’t answer you, that the phone is flashed.
You will get official message in the ZenDesk when your C2 goes back to you.
Just let the Jolla guys do their job.

Same. Mine is awaitting in Tempere at the pickup point for a week.
No, don’t. Mine is picked up already, and I’m still waiting for return since almost a week. Please give the Jolla guys some breathing room.
The confirmation message is sent from the Jolla Shop, not from Zendesk.

We are busy with the C2s and do not have time for polite conversations, sorry. We do not have too many heads and hands for this. All phones coming in for repair are reflashed with the latest OS release. The phone owner will be notified when we ship the phone.

take your time. It’s not a problem. The stress is just not knowing from the carrier that the package has been picked up by Jolla.
I understand that the Jolla team has a lot of work. My concern is just that the phone will return to its recipient before Jolla picks it up. In no case would I allow myself to put pressure on the flashing of my c2.

If the packages are delivered to Jolla by Posti and Posti deems the packages as “small package”, they’ll deliver those with regular mail, but the joke is that Posti delivers mail only every other day, so if the package arrived in Tampere on Wednesday and didn’t make it in time for that days delivery, next delivery day is Friday.
If they are delivered as normal packages, then someone from Jolla will surely pick them up in time. But first they have to receive the notification of arrival from Posti, which, again, is delivered only every other day.
The same goes for PostNord, Sweden. They are a fucking catastrophe.
