They spoke of old xperia 10 and XA2, phones from long time ago.
Hello, I’m getting my new Xperia 10 III tomorrow. Is this correct that I need to update the phone to the current version? Do I feel flashing via OTA or Emma?

Wth your lizence you get clear instruction for installation as download. You have to follow step by step «- important.

Congratulations! Installing you should indeed follow install instructions, apart from one point: there is no need to flash over android 11 as said in instructions, android 12 or even 13 works to and seems to show better results (no echo during calls etc) But whatever android version you flash over, use the binaries (for android11) described in the install instructions.

I use Signal, WhatsApp and DB Navigator on both my Xperia 10 II and 10 III with Sailfish OS (MicroG installed) it all works fine although I don’t know about WhatsApp notifications (never cared). Telephony via WhatsApp is working, ticketing (and BahnCard) via Navigator is working. At the moment signing up with BVG (Berlin public transportation) via BVG Apps (i.a. Jelbi) is not working (it used to work until recently when I updated the BVG apps)

No it is not, you need to install it seperately yourself (if you want to).

Hello, I have installed Sailfish. Everything is going well. But where is this weather app? Are there instructions for setting up Whisperfish correctly? Is the app suitable for everyday use?
How can I uninstall Whisperfish? I installed it once, but couldn’t get any further. When I reinstall it, the old settings are still there.
Does Jolla have a call over WiFi function, I have it set up like this on my Android? Thanks
As weatherapp I suggest to use Meecast (from openrepos or chum).
I use whisperfish as second linked device, works well for me.
When reinstalling you need to delete the folders with be.rubdos in your home partition
e.g. /home/defaultuser/.cache/be.rubdos and so on.
Voice over Wifi is not implemented yet AFAIK

This is IMHO the most necessary app in SFOS, together with other messaging apps for mainstream protocols like XMPP, as it fills in a gap in the platform: poor native support for instant messaging. I’m hoping it eventually gains the ability to do voicecalls.

Thanks for the feedback. I wanted to access my Deutsche Bahn account today. The browser always gives the error message that it doesn’t work because it suspects bots are behind it. What can I do there? Do I have to use a different browser? How can I set it as the default browser? Sorry for my bad English
