Buggy hotspot on XA2 / Windows 10

Two intermittent problems:

  1. Hotspot fails, not restored by Utilities. Laptop can connect to phone but no internet connection is created. Laptop doesn’t show “Setting up connection” dialog. Requires phone reboot.
  2. Hotspot working fine but turned off when not needed. Suddenly, data doesn’t work. Also requires phone reboot IIRC.

#1 is more common than #2, maybe 1 in 3 hotspot sessions. unless repeatedly turning hotspot on and off.

I think one of the later 4.4 versions fixed the above. There is however a persistent problem:

Using data on certain Android apps breaks the Hotspot. Messenger Lite is one. Opera usually breaks it. Not all of them do though.
The resetting internet utility fixes it until the next time.

Still a problem in 4.5. Should I report it as a bug?

Am I alone with this bug? It’s one of the two biggest problems with SF for me. I haven’t done a fresh install for a while.
