ok, i’m a web developer; i have notice that the browser doesn’t support webp format, avif format, and css background image-set, this features are be fundamental for improve performance of web site.

Avif was only added in Firefox 93. It will probably take half a year to a year for sailfish to reach that version at least. No idea about webp.
Mozilla introduced webp support in Firefox 65.
So maybe when Jolla update Gecko to esr78.
