Browser password manager saves garbage

REPRODUCIBILITY: 100% (for given conditions)
OS VERSION: 4.6.0.13
HARDWARE: Xperia 10 III
UI LANGUAGE: Swedish
REGRESSION: unsure

DESCRIPTION:

I was going on vacation and decided to “pack” my amazon password by saving it on my phone.
When saving login details on amazon(.se, probably all) it saves some garbage (a passkey?) in the password field only - not username and password. It also shows two “do you want to save” dialogs, but they are indistinguishable, and i could not get different results from just accepting one of them. Because of this, the username and password is also not prefilled when logging in.

PRECONDITIONS:

No Amazon password saved.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Log in to Amazon.
  2. Choose “save password”

EXPECTED RESULT:

Username and password saved. Saved username and password are pre-filled for logging in.

ACTUAL RESULT:

Some garbage in the password field only.

MODIFICATIONS:

None.

Works for me. I can sign in over and over again using my saved password.
I set the 2-step verification with an authentication app. After this, Sailfish Browser > Settings > Passwords has two items for amazon.de:

  1. amazon.de with my email address - this item has the username and the password set and saved by me
  2. amazon.de (just that) - this one has “some garbage (a passkey?)” in the password field.

I don’t have an authentication app, just a strong unique password.
I tried just now with .de - two dialogs (accepted both) only one garbage entry saved.

Perhaps it’s a sign of some FS corruption.

No.
