Original post: How to stop auto download of sailfish browser
My findings on duplicate question: In the Sony Xperia XA2, why does sailfish-browser redownload a file that has been fully downloaded when you open the browser again?
Hope these can help.

Thank you for the post. This is a known issue and we are working on it. To clarify a bit further, have you closed the tabs one by one? Did you notice the partial download after/while closing the tabs?

i did close them one by one.

the issue is gone since i did close them.
i did close them all one by one, while the pop up was comming.
i did cancel popup it came again.
i did continue closing tabs
so not sure if it was sufficient to close the distinct tab or to close them all

Closing all pages at once doesn’t make it happen. AFAIK,personally never happened to me. But closing them separately always is a trigger (fast or closing them slowly) and it happens on a regular basis
