1-4. Just like before
5. Edge swipe to get back to home view
6. Now the app opens correctly on full screen when you tap on it from the home view again

Still annoying, but maybe less annoying than turning your screen off and on again?

Thanks for the hint @avhakola. I have to test this simpler way when having some app to update.

Btw. It was very easy to make a bug report with a Bugger app!

For me it also works, if you instead of 4, 5, and 6 turn the phone to landscape orientation and back.
Still it is annoying.

I can confirm this screen rotation trick is working with SFOS 4.6 on Xperia 10.

I marked the procedure @kraemera as a solution. The annoying part remains thinking the phone screen is off though it is only Aurora App showing black picture.

Does anyone know why, on 4.6 and 5.0, installing something from the Aurora Store causes the installation dialog to open in a new ‘app’ in the first place? It wasn’t like this on 4.5.

When you install something from F-Droid, the installation dialog just opens inside of F-Droid, as it should. This is also the way the Aurora Store worked on 4.5.

I’m not sure, but in 4.4 or 4.5 they did some updates to the AAS to have higher Android API -level (or what ever the thing is called) compatibility, like the webview component etc. if I recall correctly. Probably one or more of those changes causes this issue as side effect. After the update there were other issues as well, like applications that previously worked, didn’t start anymore or showed a black screen until you managed to blindly hit something on the app, that caused the view to update. All of those should be now fixed, so I’m hopeful they’ll manage to fix this issues also at some point.
