Hi y’all sailors!
I’m making the switch from my 10iv to the FP5, and this naturally involves my contacts as well. A feature not very often required, more like taken for granted, yet quite important when it matters.
Too bad I found People App and Contacts | Sailfish OS Documentation only after the fact…
I’ve accidentally made a few local contacts on my old phone. There should IMO be a way to view / filter only local contacts. Contacts by source or type, whatever.
Having found all of them, there should IMO be a way to sync them to the cloud, like my Nextcloud setup.
And when syncing one over eg. BT, there should IMO be a prompt about where to save them.
One contact I created manually as a synced contact, and it showed up on the Nextcloud web, yay.
Then there’s another one that got lots of data to it, email and whatnot, synced over BT. Whoopsie, it’s local now. I’d like to move or copy it to the cloud, but I can’t even use the old one as a template for the new one using the phone’s UI.
Any chance of making this better in any way?
